But first I am going
to make sure your doing the most important thing necessary to being
successful as an affiliate. That thing is of course to TARGET YOUR
MARKET. This means that you only join and promote products from
affiliate programs that are related to the theme of your website and
which your visitors are likely to buy. If you sell teddy bears and promote
an Internet marketing course you are not going to be successful because

Affiliate Programs 1 : FAQs
by David Callan of AKA Marketing
Affiliate
programs also known as associate, referral, partner programs and others
things are Internet sales systems whereby a website which sells products
or services can have hundreds and even thousands of other websites helping
them sell stuff.
The webmaster of
the helping websites are called affiliates and the website which runs
the affiliate program is usually called the merchant.
The affiliates help
the merchant by exposing the merchants products and services to visitors
of their web site, this is done by the careful placement of banners

The Four Essential Keys to Picking an Affiliate Program
by Caterina Christakos of DeskTop MoneyMachine
It seems like everyone and their brother is trying to make
money online. Many would have you believe that, by simply
joining their affiliate program, you will become a
millionaire overnight.
What they fail to tell you is that with any business on or
offline there requires work, persistence and some little
known rules that most shady programs don’t want you to
know.
Here are the Four Keys to Successfully picking and making
money with an online affiliate program:
1) Pick a multi-tiered program. Programs that pay you only
for the sales that you personally make are a waste of
time. The whole point of an affiliate program is to create
a stream of income even when you yourself are not
personally working.
2) Choose a program with a subscription service. If the
service you are marketing is one where the customer is
required to make monthly payments, the affiliate program
will normally give a monthly percentage of that fee. This
beats those one time sales programs hands down.
3) Investigate to see if they provide you with a proven
step by step marketing guide. Most people joining an
affiliate program don’t have the Internet marketing
experience to do this on their own. An easy to use step by
step marketing plan benefits the owners of the plan, as
well as you the affiliate. In most cases, simply joining a
program won’t earn you money.
4) Email the person that will be your up line if you join
and see if they respond. If they do ask what their
experience has been and ask if they will be willing to
guide you along on your path to success. If this is a
serious affiliate program they should be more than willing
to do this. After all giving your Internet career... More
